據《華爾街日報》的報道，迪士尼與21世紀福克斯公司正在進行新一輪的談判，本次談判主要集中在福克斯的電影和電視公司資產，以及位於英國和印度的媒體公司，但本次交易不涉及福克斯新聞和體育網路FS1。在這項交易之中，21世紀福克斯資產的企業價值被認為高於600億美元。

漫威超級英雄20世紀福克斯電影公司，是21世紀福克斯旗下電影、電視發行製作子公司，其還擁有福克斯電視網等公司。自1935年成立至今，20世紀福克斯創造了無數的經典熒幕形象，而這些形象也是20世紀福克斯無比重要的資產之一。

作為好萊塢六大電影公司之一，20世紀福克斯除了擁有漫威超級英雄的改編權之外，還手握大量經典影視IP，這也是福克斯的另一大優勢。
這其中包括：《小鬼當家》、《異形》系列、《猩球崛起》系列等。值得一提的是，20世紀福克斯還參與過《阿凡達》、《泰坦尼克號》、《獨立日》等經典電影的製作發行，旗下擁有星空傳媒等電視台，並持有日本在線視頻網站Hulu約30%的股份。

除知名IP域名外，福克斯還保護了旗下電視台好幾檔熱播節目的相關域名。譬如x檔案相關域名：x-files.com、x-files-fanclub.com、x-files-fan.com、x-filesfanclub.com、xfilesfanclub.com等等。福克斯還曾以3500美元的價格，購得域名FoxHD.com，域名保護意識十分到位。
外媒還曾曝出漫威不聲不響注冊了9個獨立的「Marvel Rising（漫威崛起）」商標，范圍從吃穿用度到電子游戲，涉獵相當廣泛。
在這些漫威商標中，除了沒有漫畫書外，商標范圍包括了化妝品、桌布、電子游戲等漫威未來會進軍的領域。作為超級英雄系列漫畫公司，能夠如此詳盡的保護起全品類的商標，重視知識產權的意識可見一斑。
在互聯網的沖擊下，各大影視娛樂公司不得不思考轉型，福克斯和迪士尼都受到不斷崛起的其他媒體的挑戰。對於21世紀福克斯來說，將虧損中的影視娛樂業務及時出售，或許是更好的選擇。
我們不得不承認，能以高於600億美元的估值進行談判，也得益於福克斯旗下眾多保護完善的影視資源域名及其商標。可見「域名」+「商標」在現今產權時代中不容小覷的商業價值！
